Hey everyone.. Sorry it took us so long to post this I kinda lost our internet thing and we couldn't get on our blog for awhile.. enjoy!
We just got done with our first task of the day. It was a lot harder than the last ones and a lot hotter and wayy more running around! It was really fun though. We had to run around Rockford Illinois and find random stuff that Mike left for us on a list.. and some things were mandatory while others were just bonus points. For the mandatory list we needed to find:
1. "victory" near main mulberry
2. walk over a river
3. a picture with the rock guardians
it was a LOT of running around for this first part, we kind of overthought the whole "victory" thing and used google and found a place called Victory Outreach, we got the address and went there, however when we got there it was Eagle Eye Outreach so we got confused and were running around for like 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do and finally we figured out what it really meant.. but anyway here are the pictures from the bonus points list:
1. Get a picture under a phone place near "victory"
2. Catch a ride on TC36
3. Find someone named Chris
(this picture is kinda hard to see because my camera battery died and we had to use the video camera and there wasn't any flash.. but his name really was chris. i shwear! :))
4. Get a pic with Icehog, Raptor, or Rampage
5. Buy dippin' dots
6. Find the word "Cherry"
7. Picture of leader in a firetruck, police car, phone booth, or kiddie ride
8. Picture of a boat

Ok, so we love the pictures and hearing about the challenges, but one quick question.....is Cody having fun? He doesn't seem to be enjoying your company......

Mik... because you are a chip off the ol block, you ought to be able to find anything... who needs a map or a gps when you are as good with directions as me!!! (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha)
Your pics are hilarious!! I love the one of Matt on the horse, he looks like Captain Hook! It looks like you guys are having so much fun! I can't wait to hear all about it.

anonymous- yeah I think Cody's having fun. We're trying to get him to join in what we're doing but i think we intimidate him a little ;) but I can definitely tell he's warming up to us more!
loree- thanks we are having fun and there is a LOT of running we miss you too.. keep praying for us.
Eva- he's doing really good actually! he keeps saying he really needs the practice but on one trip he had to go to the bathroom and he held it in for three hours! I could not have done that.
andy- ohh andy we have not gotten lost once this trip! (haha yeah right) but we're doing pretty good and part of the adventure is getting lost
ashley- haha thanks we needed those bonus points and we thought photoshop was a funny idea so we decided to try it. you can't tell they're fake at all can you? :)
stacey- we love you too and i'm sure some of the drivers get annoyed of us sometimes but they're doing a good job not showing it and playing along with us haha :) it's been really fun so far.
Jen- We are having soo much fun I love it.. and so far we haven't gotten any postcards but we have gotten pictures in every place.. it's so cool. thanks for cheering us on we'll try not to let you down :)
Em- That's so cool we're like your rolemodels :) hahaha but the amazing race is so much fun maybe if we do it again you'll get to come!
Laurie- It's liz. I love how my whole family found out about the amazing race and is commenting us :) I love all the support haha. Keep cheering on the red team and praying for us!
